3 Free HR Podcasts

free hr podcastWhether you’re looking for some learning or something more entertaining than another dry, boring white paper, you can find what you’re looking for on the web. One of my favorite things to do is listen to podcasts while I’m working on a repetitive task. It passes the time, and I’m learning, too. Here are a few of my favorite free HR podcast sources.

HR Happy Hour

I\’ve been a listener from the very first HR Happy Hour, and it has been amazing to follow. From an impromptu first show to a weekly scheduled event, Steve Boese has really delivered some great information and entertainment for his audience. The topics for the show (employer branding, the future of HR, and work/life balance, for example) are varied, but the friendly, conversational nature makes it easy for anyone to become an addicted listener.

Kenexa

I stumbled onto the extensive Kenexa podcast library when I was doing some research one day, and I was pleasantly surprised at the range of focus they provide. From thought leadership to organizational change to recruiting strategies, you can find just about anything you\’re looking for.

People Performance Radio

Note: when I went back to find the link for my post, it looks like they may have changed the name to “Business Execution Radio.” The same stuff is there, though, so don\’t let the name change fool you.

After finding People Performance Radio, I downloaded 1-2 episodes that were pertinent to my organization and forwarded them to my HR director (maybe that tells you how good they are). My favorite episode so far is the one about onboarding.
