Being a recent graduate in HR Management, with no experience, in this economy; it\’s hard to get my foot in the door. Passing the PHR certification exam in May/June would let potential employers know that I\’m a serious HR candidate and desire to be the best in the field.

I have been a generalist in the human resources field for ten years and have a related master\’s degree. I believe taking the SPHR exam will provide professional recognition of my experience and education, and ultimately serve me in finding promotional opportunities into HR management.

I am taking the exam because I NEED to! I consult with small business clients and my organization does not currently have an “official” HR expert. Passing this exam will benefit all of my clients, as well as my colleagues who can refer their clients to the official expert!

I’m taking the PHR for my future. I don’t know where i’m going to be in 5-10 years, but I want to have this on my resume to help me get wherever i’m going. I also think the knowledge I gain will help me be better today.

I’m taking the exam from a professional standpoint to gain greater mastery from an HR practictioner standpoint as my current HR role continues to expand. Also, it woould give me a great sense of accomplishment to measure and challenge myself against the HR body of knowledge on the exam.

I have been focused on recruiting for years now and am exposed to many different HR areas but just touch on them lightly. I am taking the PHR to get a more detailed knowledge base of those areas, and to help my career in the future!

I am graduating with a degree in Human Resources Leadership in June after being out of school for 25 years. I hope that passing the PHR exam along with my degree will help me further my career in HR. It will also give me a sense of accomplishment that I can really be proud of.

By year end I will have completed a MA in HR. I have been working in HRM for 10 years and I am excited to get to the next level in my career. Flashcards are great tools. And I would love this set for me and for my assistant.

I am taking the exam because I want more initials at the end of my name. :) My real reasons are: more credibility among my colleagues, to further my career in HR, and increase my knowledge base.

I am taking the PHR exam because it is way over due. I have been out of graduate school since 2005 and I haven’t done anything educational since then. I feel like once I accomplish this goal, the doors will open for me. I also want to be proud of myself.

My mother was an HR Director and my father was a Specialist in Labor Relations. I come from this HR stuff honestly. It would be impressive to my parents for me to pass this test.

But really, I just want to be able to justify asking for a bigger raise than my co-workers at the end of the year.

I want to learn more about HR and the nuances of the job. I’m good at dealing with people, but I want to prove to myself and everyone else that I know what I’m doing in all kinds of situations.

Taking the PHR exam and becoming certified will give me more credability as an HR professional. I have an extensive background in recruitment and was lucky to make the leap to HR Generalist 2 yrs ago and my goal is to be an HR Manager.

The last HR job I interviewed for was HR Coordinator but only after I was hired did I come to realize that they only wanted a warm body to be stuck in the file room to organize the ka-zillion-ka-trillion file of old rotten paper.

I know that HR can and does improve the working world if it is utilized in the proper way, and I want to be a certified representative of a better working world. Its really that simple.

I have been working as an HR Manager for two years and learning on the job. I have learned an immense amount of material on my own, but preparing for this exam has really strengthened my skills. I feel that when I pass this exam it will prove my worth as an HR Manager.
