Dress for the Job You Want (Blogging)

This image is a tribute to my other NMU buddy, Bobbi. She looks like this character (Francine from American Dad). Rock it, Bobbi. :-)

AKA Why You Should Read Blogs

Remember back when I talked about the SHRM chapter mentor program? It’s made up of a group of very smart people. Christine Beldner is one of those people, and she made a comment recently that I just had to write about.

You’ve probably heard the phrase “dress for the job you want, not the job you have,” right? Well, when I was chatting with Christine recently, she dropped a great quote on me. It’s one of the best rationales for reading blogs that I’ve ever heard. She said that she reads blogs for the same reason people should ‘dress up’ in their jobs.

She reads for the job she wants, not the job she has.

Good stuff.

So, why do you read blogs?
