Supervisor Training Programs-Missing the Mark? (Video)

Check out the short video below. I had the chance to go through a supervisor training session in recent weeks, and although I enjoyed myself and learned a few lessons, I felt like there was something missing…

So, what do you think? Does a training program that focuses solely on the minimum “don’t do these things” really get people in the right mindset to lead well?

    Nice post, Ben. I’m definitely thinking about what you said as well as reflecting on my own post from last week about the “50% less depressing” employment seminar I attended. Will play around with some ideas and maybe run them by you another time.

    When I was just two years old I used to call flowers, “No-Nos”, because thats what my mother would call out as I approached them.

    Sounds like we have a No-No philosophy in alot of places these days.

    @Krista I’d love to hear what you come up with. I made sure and shared my thoughts with the trainers. Watch… Next time they’ll just put me in charge of it. :-)

    @Frenzy *sigh* You are absolutely right. Don’t do this. Don’t do that. That isn’t allowed under our policy. Blah blah blah. How about a “yes” for once?
